A $2.15 million budget in San Francisco often buys a modest home. That same budget in Berkeley, Kensington, Albany, or El Cerrito can open the door to larger lots, more architectural character, and neighborhoods where you'll know your neighbors.
Of course, moving to the East Bay isn't simply about buying a larger house.
